  1. This is the documentation file for SignalFlags Version 3.0.

  3. I got the idea for this font from an old Apple IIgs bitmap font also called Signal Flags.  That GS font was probably created by Lee Dronick, formerly of BeagleBros.  Here, each upper case letter represents the maritime flag for that letter.  Since I could not use colors in this font (or grayscale for that matter), all darker colors are black and lighter colors are white.

  5. Version 2.0 of this font added larger flags in the lower case letters without the flag poles.  This version (3.0) of Signal Flags adds numbered pennants.

The font is freeware.  However, I do ask that it not be uploaded anywhere except America Online and the NAUG/C-WUG BBS without my permission.  I do, however, give permission for NAUG and C-WUG to distribute this font.  I also do NOT give my permission for this font to be included in any public domain collection (disk, CD-ROM, etc.) without my written permission.)

I have created a number of other "interesting fonts".  For a donation of $15,  I will send all of them to you.  The other fonts include: Signal Flags Outline (naval flags representing letters of the alphabet--based on a IIgs bitmap font by Lee Dronick), Torah Solid and Torah Outline (letters are created using scrolls or the Torah), Dreidels (individual letters or numbers within black or white Dreidels), EightBall (letters and numbers within black balls, of course), Kensington Test (letters and numbers surrounded by boxes or circles), Kensington Divide (mathematical font for creating horizontal division problems), Kensington Root (mathematical font for creating square root, cube root, etc., problems), and Kensington Dingbats (various useful symbols for bullets, etc.)  Some of these fonts will not be uploaded anywhere.
